Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a anchor of the morning news and as a the crime reporter at WCBD TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's reporting regarding the police's lenient approach to DUI cases caused an State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the states authorities again releasing an even more strict directive on the situations.
